Last week DGE Ariel Mondlak attended the International Assembly Jan 11-15 for District Governor-elect training in Orlando, Florida!  The Rotary International Assembly (IA) in Orlando is an annual, mandatory training event for incoming District Governors-elect (DGEs) worldwide.

Serving as a crucial leadership summit for learning, fellowship, and strategic planning for Rotary's global humanitarian mission, IA is where future leaders train, network, and hear the RI President-elect announce the year's theme. The event brings together over 500 global leaders for intense sessions on Rotary's future.

What Happens at the IA?
  • Training: DGEs receive intensive training for their upcoming roles, covering Rotary's priorities and initiatives.
  • Inspiration: Attendees hear from current and past Rotary International leaders, including the President-elect.
  • Theme Announcement: The President-elect reveals the theme for the next Rotary year (e.g., "The Magic of Rotary" for 2024-2025).
  • Fellowship: Rotarians from diverse backgrounds connect, share ideas, and build global friendships.
  • Partners Program: A separate, engaging program is offered for the DGEs' partners.
 Welcome home, Ariel!
